Pajamapreneur

Pajama-preneur is what I call Freelancer’s of today, the freedom to stay on bed and work in pajama’s its just like doing your school homework, with no desk & no dress code. The liberty to craft your own time table, plan & prioritize tasks yourself, treat your customer in your own style, no working hours and no lunch timings turns it into Personal Freedom & a job you will surely love. It’s actually the magnificent freedom to do the work that you love, Work when you want, Work where you want & the way you want.

Unlike the freelancer of 19’s Pajamapreneur doesn’t has to brush his teeth, comb his hair or even wash his face to interact with new potential buyers, or dress up & commute to meet any buyer & submit the Bid. All he has to do is connect to email account, skype or VWorker & deliver his work, submit a bid or raise query on any existing project. Even on video chats a Pajamapreneur will relocate himself to a desk, wear a shirt & tie keep a smile on his face and rest remains the same i.e. the pajama is still what he is wearing & hiding under the table. Pajamapreneurs are not lazy they are smart; they use tools to speak for them, they invest time smartly by using appropriate tools to help communicate out for them. A Facebook Fan page can do the marketing for you, eBay or VWorker can help you get the job & online money transfer can get your money in your account all done from a single screen of laptop. Fortunately, with today’s technology you don’t need to be located in the same town as your prospects or buyers. You can use applications similar to GoToMeeting, Skype and DimDim to plan conferences and share information. Pajamapreneurs grab the opportunity to network clients and prospects from all over the globe. Since a personal website and blogs posts can be viewed from all over the world, we don’t expect the globalization of e-marketing to slow down in near future.

Pajamapreneurs actually have a Mobile lifestyle, with WiFi, laptop or mobile computing devices your workplace can be practically anywhere, can be on a beautiful beach, your garden or hill top, and as long as you have your laptop and a decently fast internet linking your lap becomes your desk & your internet becomes your communicating channel.

This whole “work in your pajamas” thing portrays calm lifestyle but that’s not the case in reality, Freelancing comes wrapped with its own set of challenges which every freelancer will face. I believe that a Freelancer has to face multiple trails & challenges & tackle them all alone unlike the employed one’s who don’t have to worry about the invoices, HR & admin issues and expenses for operating a business. Contrasting working in a company, freelancing means you have to pay for all the stuff this includes your repairs, your internet and your purchases of equipment, your electricity and others. This means, you need to work really hard so you can have money to pay all those material needed for your work.

You only get compensated when you do work, and finding work is completely up to you. You also need to be a keen entrepreneur in addition to being brilliant in your field, because there’s no department to take care of the funds for you. Nevertheless, it’s not a calm job to keep your confidence up while you’re facing the realities of being your own money manager, marketing your services and providing countless customer service to your clients. In order to reach your objectives of profitability and success you have to develop the proper mindset.

Despite all these hurdles, not only you have to organize for your start-up emotionally and financially, but you have to be committed to its constant needs until it’s mature enough to move along on its own once he has gone through all these hard times & has settled with a good income its totally up to the chap to continue his work in future as a Solopreneur or grow as an Entrepreneur. Until the scope of work is limited, it’s done for extra savings or he enjoys doing it as a hobby the term can be coined as “Pajamapreneur”.

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
